Click on “Install Net Star Vault OBM”

Click “Next”

Place a bulletin on “I accept the agreement” and click “Next” on the “License Agreement” window

Click “Next” on the “Select Destination Location” window

Click “Next” on the “Select Additional Tasks” window

Click “Install” on the “Ready to Install” window

Once the software has completed its install place a checkmark on the “Launch Net Star Vault OBM and click on “Finish”

For the “Backup Server” ensure it is set to “http” and “207.91.175.82” and then click “Next”

Next window is going to ask you for a “Login Name” and “Password” along with an “Email” address.  Once you have filed out the request fields click “Submit”

*Note* Please keep track of your password. If you lose the password at any time you will lose any data backed up with that password attached. *Note* If you already have an account setup click on “Already a user” and click “Submit”

You can change the “Name” of the backup, “Type”, and “Time” of the backup. Once you have completed setting up the time frame the backups take place click on “OK”

Click “Next”

“Encryption” should be set to “Default”. Click “OK”

Once you have completed the New Backup Setup Wizard the backup software is ready and should start at the allotted time you have assigned to it.

You should see the Net Star Vault OBM icon in your Notification Area (normally located on the right hand side of your tool bar). If this Icon is up then the backup software is running and waiting for its allotted time to back up.

Few things to remember when backing up:

Ensure that your server/PC does not have any power saving settings or screen savers on when backing up.

If the file is in-use, the backup software will not backup that file. So ensure that you close all applications and files when backing up.

If you have multiple backup systems ensure that they do not overlap the backups.

If you are on a trail account you have 30 days until the account is removed from the system along with everything it has backed up.

Once you have loaded the program you can click on the gear on the bottom left hand side of the window and you can play with all of the settings on what is backed up (Backup Source) and when it is backs up (Backup Schedule).
