Cancellation FAQ’s
Why do I have to give Net Star Telecommunications,
Inc. a 30 day notice?
On a monthly basis, we renew or purchase
telecommunications equipment based on our current number
of subscribers.
We must know prior to the following month
what our subscriber base will be. If you are canceling,
you will be taken out of that figure. It allows up to
operate our telecommunications purchasing and management
efficiently.
Often times, circuits managed by Net Star
Telecommunications, Inc. partners require a 30 day
cancellation from Net Star Telecommunications, Inc. in
order for us cancel your entire service.
How are refunds
handled?
Refunds are processed in the following
manner
Monthly Billing:
You will not get a refund if you have
paid for the upcoming month due to the 30 day
cancellation notice requirement.
Quarterly, Bi-Annual, and Annual Billing:
We will refund amounts paid in advance
after the 30 day cancellation notice requirement is
subtracted. The refund will then be calculated as if you
were on a monthly postal mail payment plan. We offer
discounts to subscribers who pay in advance for service.
If the subscription is not fulfilled, you have to pay
the monthly subscription cost for time used and during
your 30 day notice period.
For example:
You paid for service from March 1st until
May 31st. You paid via check, so your quarterly rate was
$53.85.
You send us a cancellation form on March
1st. Here’s how your refund will be calculated:
Amount Paid in
Advance: $53.85

30 Day Cancellation
Period: $19.95 (This is the monthly postal
mail rate)

Refund: $33.90
How do I cancel my
account?
If you are a residential customer, you
must fill our e-cancellation form.
If you are a business, we must have a
document on file on company letterhead stating your
cancellation instructions.
Should you not have access to the
Internet, you can call us at 713.554.7100 X358 to
discuss alternate options.
What happens if I
don’t cancel my account and just stop using my service?
We report all delinquent accounts
(regardless of usage) to our collections department. As
stated in our “Acceptable Usage” and “Terms and
Conditions”, non-use of an account does not signify
cancellation.
